A Good Night for Trump

Wire: Donald Trump Ahead of Hillary Clinton in Electoral College

Before the debate Trump has a lead in the electoral college. It’s a slim lead because a number of the polls are very close but we do have several things going in Trump’s favor.

Trump is under represented in the polls. Some people ore too embarrassed to admit they would vote for him so they don’t say so. There are still some undecided voters in these polls and the undecided votes will go to Trump. Undecided votes will almost all go to the challenger. If the undecided voters were going to go for the incumbent, they would have made up their mind by now. In this election Hillary is clearly the incumbent.

The biggest advantage for Trump here is that Hillary is unlikable and dishonest, it’s very hard to believe what she says. There is nothing about her that will get a person who hasn’t made up their mind to vote for her to make up their mind for her now. No is no and that’s how they will vote

The mood in this country is overwhelmingly that the country is on the wrong track and needs a new direction. Trump represents a new direction.

Pat Caddell: Breitbart/Gravis Post-Debate Flash Poll Shows Hillary Clinton Won Slightly; Trump Gains ‘Plausibility’

This poll has some very good news for Trump. 48 percent of viewers thought Hillary did a better job and 43 percent thought Trump did a better job in the debate, that’s only a 5 percent advantage to Hillary; the expectations were much higher for her. A 5 percent advantage is not enough, she needed to overwhelm him and she didn’t.

The really big news is that no one is going to change their vote because of the debate. Nothing here impacted the dynamic. Hillary didn’t gain any voters and Trump didn’t lose any voters. And to confirm my position on undecided voters 2 percent of undecided voters decided to go to Trump and ZERO percent decided to go to Hillary.

She is unlikable and her credibility is negligible. Those voters who haven’t made up their mind for her yet will not vote for her, they will go to Trump, Stein, or Johnson but not Hillary.

As we get closer to  election day and the polls drift closer to Trump, Hillary will get desperate and start to show her ugly side more and more. The negative ads will pile on and that will cause some of her supporters to drift away from her. She has no positive message to use to convince the voters to vote for her so she has to be negative.

She has never articulated why she’s a better choice for president she has only articulated why Trump is no good for president, That’s all he has to offer and it will drive some of her supporters away from her.

This was a very good debate for Trump

Pat Caddell, the Democratic pollster and Fox News Insider, told Breitbart News that poll respondents said Clinton performed better at the debate; 48 percent said Clinton did a better job, compared to 43 percent, who said Trump did the better job.

“However, 95 percent of the people we contacted told us they were not going to change their vote based on the debate,” Caddell said.

Two percent of voters, previously undecided, switched to Trump after the debate. No undecideds went to Clinton. One percent switched from Trump to Clinton, and one percent switched from Clinton to Trump.
