The Never Ending Debt Ceiling

The Never Ending Debt Ceiling

Senate democrats want to give the executive branch of government a chance to give the store away. Our government was designed to have checks and balances specifically to prevent one branch of government from being this irresponsible.

Allowing the president to spend money at a rate that digs the hole deeper than authorized by the House of Representatives is the most irresponsible action possible.
The brain dead elected empty suits who want this are concerned about the possibility of a future potential default of the government. They already have the means to prevent any future default, but it means they have to be responsible with the revenue confiscated from tax payers. They have to stop spending like drunken sailors.

Spending money is not the answer to anything, especially spending more of my money. These elected empty suits lose sight of the fact that the money they piss away is not theirs, it’s ours. Spending more than the government takes in is not a panacea for all problems, it IS the problem.

Raising the debt limit at will, to enable more irresponsible spending will only accelerate the crisis that we are rapidly heading towards. The crisis is building because we refuse to accept the consequences of our irresponsibility.

Some families have one or more members with an addiction problem that they can’t control on their own. The one thing you don’t do is to enable the family member with the problem to continue their destructive behavior. A family member with a drinking problem does its best to keep alcohol away from the person with the drinking problem.

Why allow serial spenders who do not have an adequate understanding of the economy, money, taxes or the futility of trying to solve complex problems by throwing unlimited cash at the problem to have unlimited access to tax revenues. That would be a very clear example of aggravated stupid.

Our Founders established three branches of government with checks and balances specifically to prevent abuse of power by any one branch. Allowing the executive branch to spend money without limits bypasses a significant check on that branch of government.

The Founders knew what they were doing. They established a system of government that has endured for more than 200 years. We are trying to chip away at that system to allow the least gifted among us govern unwisely.

This is what they are trying to do. They are driving a 1985 Yugo GV, possibly the worst car of all times. It won’t start and has missing wheels, the interior is torn and moldy; it is an eyesore and a risk to the other drivers on the road. They bring it in to the “We Cheatum and Howe” Repair shop for restoration and repair. The estimate is 10 times the original cost of the car when it was new.

They agree to have the work done and hand over a credit card with an unlimited balance that will be presented to other people for payment.

The 1985 Yugo GV is their insistence at trying to solve complex problems by spending large sums of other people’s money regardless of the consequences.

“We Cheatum and Howe” Repair shop is the equivalent of elected empty suits who can only see the revenue side of the equation and never see the spending side as a path to solving problems.
Spending 10 times the cost of an original Yugo that was not worth the air in its tires when it was new is the equivalent to the problem solving process that elected empty suits go through in trying to buy the love and respect of the low information voters.

Paying for the senseless repair and restoration of a car that was serving its best purpose as a pile of scrap metal with a credit card that has no limits and has to be paid for by someone else is exactly what elected empty suits do every day.

Checks and balances are important, they have worked for over two hundred years let’s keep using them.

The elected representative from the “We Cheatum and Howe” wing of any government must be identified and elected out of office as quickly as possible.

God save us from elected empty suits trying to solve any problem by spending my money. Stop it Stop it NOW!!!
