Texas is Poaching Jobs
It appears that the Great State of Texas is spending money and buying advertising in states like California, Illinois and New York, trying to poach jobs that already exist in the other states and bring them home to Texas.
Illinois, California and New York (also known as Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dumb, and Stupid you may select which state fits with which name) are upset and are whining about the unfair practices that Texas is engaged in. Those states are upset and are calling it unfair; I call it the Free Market Economy at its best.
Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dumb, and Stupid have high unemployment, very high state and local taxes, crippling regulations, out of control spending and a population base that is leaving those states as fast as they’re able. Texas has no state income tax, small state government, a growing population and thriving industries, and a population that is growing with a skilled and educated people who are leaving the high tax states to relocate where businesses are appreciated and thriving, not struggling to survive in an unfriendly business environment.
Texas welcomes new businesses and the employees who come there to work, live, and raise more Texans. Texas understands that good businesses create a stable growing work force and population. Texas is playing on a very uneven playing field, but not because Texas cheats, because Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dumb, and Stupid have created pain misery suffering and an unfriendly business environment.
Elected empty suits in the states that are losing businesses and tax payers are upset. They have a strong belief that big government should solve everyone’s problems; real and imagined. They also believe in the redistribution of wealth. Any individual or business that is successful could only have been successful by screwing the little guy one way or another. Big government must step in and take from the successful and give to the not so successful.
Texas is screwing that up. Texas has the nerve to offer a better deal to the citizens of Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dumb, and Stupid. Too many of the successful individuals and businesses are voting with their feet and leaving for Texas.
In the world of redistribution of wealth you have to have a lot of people making something that can be available to redistribute. When too many of the successful leave the state and reduce what’s available to redistribute, the elected empty suits have less to spread around.
Elected empty suits are very good at creating ways to tax, regulate, and impede progress and success on individuals and business, but they really stink at not spending money. As professional politicians they’re not capable of earning the love and respect of the people they represent. They can only buy, or more realistically, rent the love and respect necessary to win the next election.
The shallow minds they represent are always concerned with what have you done for me lately? What’s in it for me? It takes a great deal of tax revenue to satisfy the bottomless pit of the needy who have to be bought every election in whatever creative ways elected empty suits spend tax payers money to buy the love and respect needed to get reelected.
Texas is screwing that up. Too many are leaving and most of those that leave are the ones who put more into the tax revenues than they took out. As each one leaves that changes the proportion of makers and takers. Look at Detroit, see where they are today. They can’t provide Police, Fire, or Sanitation to their citizens and they can’t pay their bills. Most of the makers left and only the takers remained.
The tipping point is fast approaching for these states. More is going out than is coming in. It cannot be sustained, especially when too many successful people and businesses leave.
The Great State of Texas is doing its best to save Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dumb, and Stupid. Wake up and smell the folly of the redistribution of wealth.
You are running out of other people’s money, isn’t it time to cut back on spending? Every dollar they spend digs the hole deeper. I have a simple piece of advice for any person or organization who finds themselves in a hole. Stop digging! Elected empty suits can’t accept that advice, it conflicts with the only thing they are capable of, spending other people’s money to buy the love respect and affection of voters.
As voters we have to remember that we are also tax payers. Tax payers have to support the irresponsible spending of elected empty suits. We have to make them stop digging. Our Founding fathers created a system where we get to vote for our representatives, we must use that system and never, ever, reelect a man or woman who is not committed to reducing taxes and seriously making spending cuts.
Reckless spenders must be punished at the polling place. Tax cutters must be rewarded. Vote for the right kind of men and women.
