Connecticut Really Gets It

Connecticut Really Gets It

In a news article I saw this morning Connecticut’s Governor met with a number of Hedge Fund Executives and made a presentation to them to show the advantages Connecticut offers them. The difference in taxes from New York’s intended tax increases to Connecticut’s plan to tempt the Hedge Funds to Connecticut on $7,000,000 in income is $782,000. That’s a significant difference. The greed and irresponsible attitude toward other people’s money on the part of NY State’s legislators is glaring. They must start to look at cutting spending.

They must start to respect other people’s right to their own money. Spending is out of control. There is no common need for most of the spending. Satisfying their union bosses and other special interests who pull their strings will chase the geese who lay the golden eggs out of their clutches. How many businesses and individuals have they already chased out of the state with their greed and irresponsible representation of their constituents?

The NY State budget finally passed and did not include the ugly Hedge Fund Taxes, so the Hedge Funds don’t have to move to avoid the tax in the short term. But Connecticut is still trying to tempt them over the border. As it stands now the NY State legislators can’t be trusted. They can’t pass a budget on time and their greed shows no boundaries. NY State doesn’t deserve tax payers who have the opportunity to move out.

Until better representatives are elected in NY State who show us they get it like Connecticut gets it, anyone with an income should protect it by moving out of the clutches of the NY State elected empty suits.

Vote the Bums Out,
